Access Solutions
Our fully qualified and hugely experienced teams use Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs) and IRATA rope access methods for our projects, but we aim to use MEWPs in every job we undertake, in line with the 2005 Work at Height Regulations.
Our IRATA rope access capability means we are comfortable working in areas that would otherwise be deemed as unsuitable or unable to reach via platforms or large scaffold structures, for a variety of reasons including height, structural limitations or excessive cost.
However, RACS Industrial only uses IRATA rope access methods for works at height if the relevant hazards are assessed and controlled as best as is reasonably practicable and the residual risk is low.
We also install, inspect and certify fall protection equipment for other contractors. Typical examples include safety eyebolts, work restraint systems to roof areas and ladder fall arrest rails. Additionally, we install suspended under-deck access platforms from leading manufacturers including Velo Tech Systems (VTS).
Works at Height
Once a workface is reached, our teams can install suspended under-deck access platforms, carry out new installations, remedy defects or remove redundant assets.
We can provide complete inspection, report and remedial action plans including a structural engineering survey, drone surveys and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).
We use only qualified inspectors and accredited partners for our survey and inspection work.

Confined Space Entry, Monitoring and Rescue Services
We pride ourselves on our confined space entry and rescue services and ensure all our confined work adheres to the 1997 Confined Space Regulations, using IRATA rope access methods.
We also offer support services for other contractors who may be unable to adhere to the Confined Space Regulations, providing dedicated entry controllers, pre-installed remote monitoring equipment (if required) and stand-by first response rescue teams.
